Bachelor in physics by the University of Valencia. I did my PhD at IFIC, being part of the ATLAS collaboration at the LHC at CERN. During this period I worked on the construction, installation and tuning of the ATLAS detector as well as on the development of the tracking and vertexing algorithms. My thesis was devoted in the top-quark physics and in the development of the alignment algorithm for the ATLAS tracker, which allowed to reconstruct the first particle tracks from the LHC collisions in November 2009. This algorithm is still being used nowadays in this experiment. After finishing my thesis in 2010, I moved to CERN to continue working on ATLAS, first as postdoctoral researcher hired by University of Pittsburgh (US) and more than six years later as CERN project associate. During this period, I was the ultimate responsible for the operations and maintenance of the electronics that provide the ATLAS trigger. In parallel, I continued with my research in top-quark physics, developing new techniques for performing precision measurements within the Standard Model and for evaluating new physics models, coordinating various research groups. By mid 2019, I went back to IFIC for continuing my research, adding to the precision measurements the study of the interaction of this quark with the Higgs boson and also with different dark matter candidates, using advanced machine learning techniques. Furthermore, taking profit of my far-reaching experience in particle physics instrumentation, I also joint the team in charge of developing the next ATLAS tracker generation that will operate in the future HL-LHC. Nowadays, and thanks to the excellence research grant from the GenT programme, I continue developing my own research project within the previous mentioned lines.
