Fields or areas of research High Energy Physics
I did my PhD in the University of Buenos Aires, and held postdoctoral positions at the University of Zürich, Johannes Gutenberg Universität Mainz and at the Karlsruhe Institute for Technology. In December 2020 I have join IFIC with my GenT fellow.
My research revolves around the search for Physics Beyond the Standard Model, and in particular hunting the so called Long-Lived Particles, LLPs), namely particles whose mean lifetime is macroscopic. This field has received a lot of attention in the last year, both from a theoretical perspective (with several models being proposed that involve LLPs while solving longstanding puzzles of the Standard Model of Particle Physics) as well from the experimental one (with many new proposed experiments targeting LLPs): FASER, MATHUSLA, Codex-B, MilliQan, MoEDAL, among others.
My CIDEGENT project is focused on detecting these LLPs not only at the LHC experiments, but also at other experiments such the aforementioned detectors, future colliders, and also explore the connection to cosmology and astro-particle physics."
