Miguel Nebot Gómez graduated in Physics (with honours) and obtained a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics (summa cum laude) from the University of Valencia. After completing his Ph.D. he worked as a researcher at the "Centre for Theoretical Particle Physics" at the University of Lisbon (Portugal), at the Roma Tre branch of the "Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare" (Italy) with a Marie-Curie fellowship, at the University of Valencia with a Juan de la Cierva contract, and at the Department of Physics of the "Instituto Superior Técnico" of the University of Lisbon with a long term contract from the portuguese national science foundation "Fundación para la Ciencia y la Tecnología".

His research in Particle Physics has covered different aspects related to the search of New Physics, flavour physics and CP violation (matter-antimatter asymmetry), or the study of different extensions of the Standard Model.

In 2020 he returns to the "Instituto de Física Corpuscular" (University of Valencia / CSIC) as a distinguished researcher from the GenT Plan. With his project "What New Physics Lies Beyond The Standard Model?" he aims to advance in the search of New Physics that could answer the fundamental questions that the Standard Model does not solve satisfactorily. Besides his research activities, he also fulfils teaching duties at the Faculty of Physics of the University of Valencia.
