Fields or areas of research Inorganic materials , Physics of condensed matter

Efrén Navarro-Moratalla received his M.Sc. in Chemistry in 2007 and a M.Sc. in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in 2009, both from the Universitat de València (Spain). He then held a postdoctoral research position in the Massaschusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as a Ramón Areces fellow. Since 2018 he is the group leader of the Crystalline Inorganic Solids Lab (crisol-lab.com) at the Instituto de Ciencia Molecular (ICMol) and the principal investigator of several research grants including an ERC Starting Grant (2018). His research interests lie at the multidisciplinary space between chemistry, materials science and the physics of condensed matter, with special interest in the behaviour of electrons and their spins in low dimensional inorganic systems.
