During my scientific career I have worked on several research lines that cover a wide variety of theoretical and phenomenological aspects in the field of physics beyond the Standard Model. I started my career with a predoctoral fellowship at IFIC (CSIC - U. Valencia) from January 2007 to October 2010. After this, I had the following positions:
- CERN (Geneva, Switzerland), Marie Curie ESR fellow from November 2010 to June 2011.
- Universität Würzburg (Würzburg, Germany), postdoctoral researcher from February 2011 to September 2011.
- Laboratoire de Physique Théorique d'Orsay (CNRS, Orsay, France), postdoctoral researcher from October 2011 to June 2013.
- Université de Liège (Liège, Belgium), postdoctoral researcher from July 2013 to June 2015.
In July 2015 I joined IFIC (CSIC - U. Valencia) as postdoctoral researcher and enjoyed a Juan de la Cierva Incorporación contract in 2016-2017. After a short period hired as Investigador Doctor Senior by the University of Valencia, I got a postdoctoral position at CSIC hired by the SEJI project FÍSICA SABOR, funded by Generalitat Valenciana, of which I am Principal Investigator. Finally, I am Ramón y Cajal researcher at the University of Valencia since January 2020.
The core of my activity has focused on the leptonic sector of the theory, which contains the major unknowns needed to complete our understanding of fundamental particle physics. My work on neutrino mass models and their implications at colliders and low-energy experiments is documented by a significant number of well-known papers on model building, lepton flavor and universality violation, collider physics and possible dark matter connections. I have studied the phenomenology of new physics models with light sterile neutrinos and made notable contributions to the recent research activity in the field of lepton flavor violation. In the first stages of my career I also contributed substantially to the study of supersymmetric models with R-parity violation and explored the implications of a high-energy seesaw mechanism in scenarios with TeV scale supersymmetry. Currently, I am also investigating the implications of recent results from several flavor experiments pointing towards the possible violation of lepton flavor universality in B-meson decays and exploring approaches based on effective field theories. I have published 47 research articles in peer-reviewed international journals of high impact factor, including four invited review papers. I have presented my research in 48 talks in international conferences (18 of them as invited speaker, including 6 review talks) and appeared in 12 contributions to conference proceedings. I have also given 23 invited seminars and an on-line webinar. These research and communication activities have always addressed cutting-edge timely issues. In the inSPIRE database [http://inspirehep.net/author/profile/A.Vicente.1], commonly used in the research area of particle physics, all my publications have received a total of 2401 citations as of January 27th 2020, with an h factor of 27. Eighteen of my articles have been cited more than 50 times, out of which six have been cited more than 100 times. I have also published the public codes FlavorKit, nowadays a well-known tool for the calculation of flavor observables in models of new physics, and DsixTools, a new package for the handling of the Standard Model Effective Field Theory.
