I finished my PhD at the University of Valencia in 2010, and received the 2011 extraordinary PhD award (to the best PhD). I then did two post docs at Macquarie University (Sydney, Australia), in 2011, and at the University of Oxford (Marie Curie grant), from 2012 to 2014. In 2015, I returned to the University of Valencia with a Ramón y Cajal Fellowship, where I started my own research group at Cavanilles Institute for Biodiversity and Evolutionary Biology. I have published more than forty papers including in journals such as Nature, Nature Ecology and Evolution, Ecology Letters and PNAS. My current research focuses on understanding the ecological factors that modulate sexual selection, and its consequences in terms of population viability. I also work on the evolution of life-history traits (e.g. ageing).
