Martín González-Alonso finished his undergrad studies with First Class Honors at the Univ. of Valencia, where he obtained his PhD (summa cum laude) in 2010. He enjoyed postdoctoral positions at well-known institutions: University of Wisconsin - Madison (USA), INFN-Frascati (Italy), IPN-Lyon (France), and CERN (Switzerland).

His research covers a broad spectrum of topics in Particle Physics, from strong interactions to Higgs decays. He has authored 40 scientific publications, which have collected more than 1700 citations, and have been presented in 50 international conferences, including 29 invited plenary talks. He has also presented his works in more than 30 invited seminars at world-leading institutions such as Caltech, Michigan State University, CERN, …

He co-organized 9 international conferences and participated in a long list of R&D (inter)national projects, including for instance a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship awarded by the European Commission.

In 2019 he joined IFIC (Universitat de València / CSIC) as Distinguished Researcher through the Plan GenT of the Generalitat Valenciana. His current research focuses on the new generation of high-precision experiments, their data analysis and their implications for the search of new phenomena. He combines this research activity with teaching at the Physics Department at the Universitat de València.
