I graduated in Biochemistry at the Miguel Hernández University of Elche in 2005. Supported by a predoctoral fellowship from the Ministry of Education (FPU), I was able to do my doctoral thesis in the laboratory of Prof. Oscar Marin studying the development of the cerebral cortex of mammals (Institute of Neurosciences of Alicante, UMH & CSIC, San Juan de Alicante). In 2012 I joined the laboratory of Prof. Richard Benton (University of Lausanne, Lausanne, Switzerland) to study how sensory signals are processed to generate specific behaviors using Drosophila melanogaster as a model system. In 2019 I joined the Institute of Neurosciences of Alicante as an independent researcher thanks to the CIDEGENT program of the Valencian Community.
